The Hospice of the Valleys has been running since 1986 and provides the very best in specialist care for those affected by a life threatening illness. The Hospice’s team provides 24hr care, 7 days per week to people in their own homes as well as caring for the patient and his/her family or closest carers.

At all times the Hospice aims:

To maintain and develop a free, 24 hour service of total care for seriously ill people.
To help the families and carers of patients cope with the stress of life-threatening illness.
To recognise and address the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of all patients referred to the Hospice
To employ personnel with the training and personal commitment necessary to carry out the functions of the Hospice and to provide on-going training as necessary.
To co-operate with other health agencies in order to bring the benefits of palliative care to all in need.
To ensure that adequate funding is provided to finance the Hospice - and our magazine has helped to raise awareness of the hospice's vital work and draw in this much needed funding.

The Magazine will be available free to pick up from Hospice of the Valleys, its charity shops, as well as local newsagents, shops, doctors’ and dentists’ waiting rooms, hotels, restaurants, information centres and public buildings. Supporters of the magazine will also be provided with free copies to give to their customers.
20,000 copies of the magazine will be printed in full colour on glossy art paper in an A4 format, designed and produced by a local design company highly experienced in producing quality local and national publications in colour.
The magazine will feature editorial about Hospice of the Valleys, its work with patients and their families, its staff, its volunteers and the community it serves.
