St. Michael’s Hospice aims to provide the best quality of life achievable for patients facing incurable illness and their families 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
Since opening their doors in 1987, the Hospice has continued its immense growth in response to the needs of the community and they now have an average of 700-800 referrals each year.

St. Michael’s Hospice is not part of the NHS and this year it will cost £3.4 million to offer its wide range of services free of charge. Over 72% of their income has to be raised through private and voluntary sources, which is where our magazine fits in (please follow this link to read an electonic edition).
20,000 copies of this magazine will be available free to pick up from St Michael’s Hospice Shops, newsagents, local shops, doctors’ and dentists’ waiting rooms, hotels, restaurants, information centres and public buildings.
This will be throughout the Hospice catchment area of Hastings and Rother, including: Hastings, St Leonards, Bexhill, Battle, Robertsbridge, Etchingham, Northiam, Rye, Peasmarsh and all the surrounding villages. Supporters of the magazine will also be provided with free copies to give to their customers.
