They provide highly skilled and specialised nursing care, practical help and welfare support for the whole family. The majority of people feel most comfortable, safe and secure in their own homes, surrounded by family and friends, so that’s where they concentrate most of their resources – in the home. Not surprisingly the demand for these services continues to grow and each year 1800 people and their families depend on us for care and support. We believe that dignity and choice are the hallmarks of end of life care and the Hospice's service is given absolutely free.
To provide their services each year costs over £3 million - meaning that they have to raise over £5 every minute of every day to fund their work. Only a small amount of statutory funding is received and the rest of their income comes from the generosity of businesses and individuals in the community - and this is where our magazine really helps to raise the profile of the work that they do and bring in more, much needed, funds.
If you're facing a funding shortfall, or would like to extend your reach into the surrounding community, have a chat with us today!
