Based in West Worthing, Community Appeal Media Business Development Solutions (CAM BDS) are a business development solutions company, working with clients as diverse as the Worthing Borough and Arun District Councils, Chestnut Tree House Children’s hospice and the highways giant, Ringway. Following a year of growth and rapid client acquisitions, their efforts have been rewarded again!

At the Worthing Business Awards, the CAM BDS team were presented with the Creativity in Business award, which was sponsored by RAG / Artists & Makers. The award, judged by a panel of local businesses, recognises that:

‘Creativity and knowledge are overpowering raw material and hard labour in the 21st Century. It is predicted that by 2016 half the UK’s workforce will be in creative industries. CAM BDS Director, Steve, comments:

“We are all surprised, delighted and shocked to have received this prestigious award. Looking at the other businesses nominated – all of whom we know by reputation – we sincerely believed that we were the ‘outside runner’. When it was announced that we’d won, I couldn’t quite believe it at first!

“As a small, tight-knit team, this award will provide a huge boost to our morale. We believe in applying creative, flexible and adaptable solutions to any business development issue faced by our clients – whether this be in terms of publicity, online development or project management/fulfilment. To have this recognised by a panel of our peers is the most amazing validation of our efforts on behalf of our varied client base.

Just under twelve months ago, CAM BDS also walked away with an award from the Arun Business Partnership (www.arunbusinesspartnership.co.uk ) for Commitment to the Littlehampton Business Partnership. It’s a cycle of victories that the CAM BDS team hope will continue!

It has been a busy year for the small company. Not only have they moved premises, but the team has grown with Joshi Domini boosting the web development team. Furthermore, CAM BDS’s client base has rapidly expanded as well, bringing them work from across the entire United Kingdom.

Their work on- and off-line continues to grow at a staggering pace. The team produce around 30 magazines a year, ranging from town publications to regional women’s magazines and B-2-B publications. The web development team are forging ahead with new technologies, providing everything from a stand-alone ‘brochure’ site to dynamic database driven online applications and even CCTV monitoring systems! As a team, they staged the Wheels event in Littlehampton back in the summer, an event so successful that it’s coming back for a second year in 2008!

In recent months, CAM BDS have also won a prestigious branding contract within the Worthing area, one which will give them ample opportunity to apply their ‘dynamic flexible and appropriate’ creative approaches, for which they’ve just been recognised.
