The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home provides care and rehabilitation services for physically disabled ex-Service men and women. Founded in 1919 they have a long and proud history providing the highest level of multi-disciplinary care to their residents. They are passionate about helping residents maximize their ability and achieve their full potential with as much independence as possible, whilst ensuring they respect their privacy, dignity and rights. Their residents are from varied backgrounds, drawn from across the Royal Navy, the Army and the Royal Air Force and are aged from 23 to 97.

They provide a supportive, welcoming environment for all residents and their families, offering a wide range of high quality personalized care plans, leisure and social activities, lifestyle and day-to-day living choices. They pride themselves on being flexible in the range of services they offer, to enable customized choice where possible.

A multidisciplinary team, consisting of the resident’s named Registered Nurse, ‘key worker’ Care Assistant, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist, meet regularly with each resident to assess their progress. In this way the residents, supported by professionals, are able to set achievable goals for themselves, and then they are able to assess the benefits that therapy is having on other aspects (nursing, social and spiritual) of the resident’s life.

Why Advertise?

The cost of providing high quality care services to the residents continues to rise each year and the need to raise funds is as important as ever. Currently, it costs over £1200 per week per resident to administer care services and they urgently need to continue to boost their income through fundraising initiatives. Advertising in the magazine is your opportunity to show your support for the work they do and to give something back to those who have defended our shores and skies for decades.

The magazine is free to pick up and 20,000 copies of the magazine will be available from Royal British Legion centres across Britain. In addition free copies will be available across the South in newsagents, local shops, doctors and dentists waiting rooms, hotels, information centres and public buildings. Supporters of the magazine will also be provided with free copies to give to their customers.

The magazine will be printed in full colour on glossy art paper in an A4 portrait format, designed and produced by a local design company highly experienced in producing quality local and national publications in colour. The magazine will feature articles about The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home, its work with residents and their families, staff, volunteers and fundraising.
