Funding

It will cost £2.2 million to run the service in 2008/09 and the NHS will contribute only a small percentage of that. The charity relies very heavily on the voluntary support of the communities they serve. Methods of fundraising essential in supporting the operational costs of the hospice are general donations, in memory donations, regular giving, payroll giving, legacies, hospice lottery, planned events, trusts and shops.
