The Myton Hospices – A Special Kind of Care.

For over 25 years the Myton Hospice has been the only provider of in-patient hospice care within Warwickshire and Coventry, managing a 24 bed in patient unit in Warwick with further day care centres in Warwick and Rugby. In 2007 building started on an additional Myton Hospice to be based in Coventry which will provide a further 20 beds and another much needed day hospice within the City. In 2007 Myton offered over 10,000 days of care to its patients, nearly 7,000 bed days and over 3000 day care visits and when the Coventry Myton Hospice opens in 2009 these figures will nearly double. The Coventry Hospice appeal has raised nearly £5,500,000 so far to build the hospice but still needs another £1,500,000 to pay for furnishing and equipment.
